Let’s turn the tide on plastic pollution

#CleanSeasPilipinas aims to establish a national network of partners
to organize, support and sustain the momentum of reducing
ocean plastics in the Philippines.

We’re taking a stand against Plastic Pollution.

#CleanSeasPilipinas

The Philippines is located within the Coral Triangle – the global epicenter of marine biodiversity. Our country is blessed with diverse coral reefs, seagrass beds, mangroves and sea creatures of all kinds. In fact, we’ve been identified as the “center of the center” of marine shore fish biodiversity because of the high concentration of species per unit area found in our waters – higher than anywhere in the world.

The sad reality is, our abundant marine life is under threat. Climate change, unsustainable agricultural and tourism practices, and other land-based threats, particularly ocean plastics is becoming one of the most pressing issues our country is facing today.
